Pelmet Workshop

Today I made a little pelmet for my buttercup. Here is the workshop. If you have a question just send me an e-mail to:

In the internet I found this pattern for the palmet:

I used pattern H for my pelmet. I copied the pattern into ms-word and changed the size.



I glued the pattern on an old postcard. For my pelmet I used 2 wooden beads (each about 8 mm wide but you can also use a rest of balsa wood).
Cut the pattern plus 16 mm extra (2 x 8 mm).




Glue the fabric on both side of the pattern! It looks not nice if there is nothing on the backside of your pelmet (a lot of people forget that).
Than form the side of the pelmet and glue the beads on the fabric.



This is the frontside of your pelmet.



Now you can glue a ribbon on your pelmet and add some lace as a little curtain for your pelmet.



This is a photo of my Buttercup's living room. I had some problems to take a good photo of my new pelmet because it is a dormer window.
